Janet Grantham

Janet Grantham has served the credit union system since 1979, including five years on the Board of Directors for Credit Union Central of Ontario.  Janet has been Chief Executive Officer of Sydenham Community Credit Union for over seven years and was manager of Kellogg Employees Credit Union for over fifteen years prior to that.  Sydenham is a full service, multi branch credit union, located in Southwestern Ontario, with assets over 163 million dollars.  It has offices in Strathroy, Mount Brydges, Parkhill, Ailsa Craig and Lambeth.

In September 2007 Janet was elected to the Ontario Credit Union Managers Association of Directors and is currently Chair.  In 2008 Janet was elected to the Board of the Co-operators Group, where she is presently a member of the Audit and Sustainability Committees.  Janet is a member of the Board of Directors for the Ontario Credit Union Services Association and is currently Chair.  Janet served on the Ontario Advisory Council for Smaller Credit Unions for several years including three as Chair.  She has served on the Central 1 Credit Union System Operations Committee for the past 3 years. 

Janet actively supports a number of organizations in her community, most particularly the United Way of London and Middlesex.

Nigel Millington

Nigel Millington is the Chief Executive Officer of Rochdale Credit Union.  Rochdale is a full service community credit union, serving over 7,000 members with approximately $90 million in administered assets, through its four branches in Oxford and Brant counties.  

Nigel has over 25 years of experience in the Financial Services sector, serving members in the Credit Union system for the past 20 years, including 3 years with Rochdale, 13 years with Libro Financial Group, and 4 years as a system supplier. 

Nigel holds an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University, a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario, and is a Fellow of the Credit Union Institute of Canada.  A Past President of the Credit Union Professionals’ Association, Nigel joined the Board of the Credit Union Managers’ Association in 2007, and currently serves as Vice-Chair.  Nigel and his wife Michele have been married for over 20 years, and have two children.

Debbie McCabe

Debbie McCabe, of Frontline Financial Credit Union has been with the Credit Union since 1978 and has been the General Manager for the last 15 years.  Debbie received her CCUI designation in 1981 and has been involved with and supported the Credit Union system throughout her career.  Frontline Financial (Formerly Ottawa Fire Fighters’) is a full service Credit Union serving predominately firefighters, healthcare workers, hydro workers and the community.  Its’ main office and Fire fighters’ branch is located in the heart of Westboro, the Healthcare Branch is located at the Ottawa Civic Hospital  and the Hydro Branch has a satellite office located at the Main Hydro facility in Ottawa.  Frontline Financial has grown significantly over the last 30 years, from the humble beginnings of a $5 million credit union to its current asset base in excess of $100 million.

In September 2009 Debbie was elected to the Board of the Ontario Credit Union Managers Association.  Debbie also serves as Co-Chair of the Eastern Alliance group of Credit Unions and for over 12 years has volunteered with the Canadian Cancer Association in her community.

Diane Kocet

Diane Kocet, A.C.U.I.C, B.A., AMP has served the credit union system since 1986. Diane commenced her career with Camera Heights Credit Union and four years later continued with The Toronto Electrical Utilities Credit Union (now known as The Energy Credit Union).  Currently CEO of The Energy Credit Union Limited, Diane has been a proactive visionary leader with over 25 years experience in the financial services industry, covering a broad range of departments. The Energy Credit Union is a full service financial institution with two branch locations in Toronto, Ontario.

In 2008 Diane was honoured with the Credit Union Professional’s Association Professional of the Year Award in recognition of her outstanding professional leadership and service to the credit union system and her community.  In March 2009 Diane was awarded the prestigious Allan Lanctot Mentorship Award by Central 1.  Under Diane’s direction the Credit Union was awarded an esteemed Golden Mirror Award from CUES for best website in the same year. Diane’s cooperative efforts have also been recognized by The Ontario Co-operative Association and in November 2009 Diane received the Cooperative Innovation Award.  All Spirit Award recipients enter the Co-operative Spirit hall of fame. 

In September 2009 Diane was elected to the Ontario Credit Union Managers Association of Directors.

Sandy Ferguson

Sandy Ferguson offers over 27 years of experience in the Credit Union system in finance, technology, and operations efficiency.   As a key strategic and tactical leader she has worked as Senior Manager of Finance and most currently as Vice President of Operations at United Communities, a full service credit union with ten branches and over $660 million in total assets under administration.  Prior to joining United Communities Credit Union in 2006, she was Senior Manager of Information Systems and Chief Financial Officer for Motor City Community Credit Union. 

Throughout her career, Sandy has taken every opportunity to establish a strong network of contacts. She currently chairs the Southwestern Ontario Managers Association and in 2010 was elected to the board member of the Ontario Credit Union Managers Association.

As a lifelong resident of Windsor-Essex County, Sandy lives in Chatham, Ontario, and is married with 3 children.
